8/3/24: Nothing much happened after the body was buffed out in April 2023, but last month in July progress finally resumed. I started bringing parts to Bobileff Motorcar, beginning with the wiring harness and hydraulic lines. I did a lot of work on the wiring harness at home, cleaning terminals, replacing some of the connectors and most of the sheathing. All of the hydraulic lines have been rebuilt with new steel tubing using the original fittings.

In preparation for setting the car on its own suspension for the first time in 14 years, I bought a set of Pirelli Cinturato CN12s, 215/70VR15 and brought in the wheels.

The wheels had been painted gold by the previous owner, and there was blue and black on the inside of the wheels. (???) They were sandblasted clean and all dings were welded up. Then they were painted the correct sliver and the CN12s were mounted. I think they look great!

Now, I'm finding components in my garage, cleaning them up a bit, and bringing them in a few each week. The shop restores each part and installs them.

(The horns should actually be anodized red, not painted. I'll fix that.)

It's exciting to see the car actually going together.

Below is the latest photo. The gas tank, steering column and rack, hydraulic reservoirs, wiper motor, and more have been installed.

The rate of parts delivered to Bobileff is increasing so it's going together faster. More updates coming soon!

Sept 6 Update

Here is the latest photo, taken on Sept 6. The front suspension and brakes are going together nicely. The shocks will be installed next week.
